Parent Pay

Our school operates on a cashless basis whenever possible.

We utilise the Parent Pay online payments system to enable parents to securely make payment for school meals and all other items, including donations and contributions to school trips and visits, using their credit or debit card.

Parents have a secure online account accessed via www.parentpay.com, activated using a unique username and password which you will receive via a letter when your child starts at Llanwern High School.

Before you activate your account, you will need an active email address which will be used for account verification and log in purposes. You will be prompted to change the activation user name and password to your email address and own memorable password. Please keep these safe and secure as you will use these in future to log in to your account. If you have more than one child at our school or children at other schools utilising the ParentPay solution, you can create a single account login for all your children.

Making a payment is straightforward and ParentPay holds a payment history for you. Once you have activated your account you can make payments straight away.

If you have lost your activation letter or have not received it please contact the school for a copy.

Money can be added to your child’s account on-line using your Parent Pay account 24/7 or with cash at local stores where you see the PayPoint logo.

ParentPay Parents-User-Guide

ParentPay also works with our catering provider, Chartwells, so that your child can pay for their food using facial recognition or with their fingerprint (a biometric system) accessing funds from the ParentPay account. A letter is sent to all parents / carers seeking agreement to participate at the beginning of the academic year. Cameras and gel pads are located at till points and recognise a child’s face or fingerprint to access their unique account; these are cleaned by Chartwell’s staff on a regular basis. There is an alternative method of authentication to biometric recognition, which is pin code.

ParentPay has helped us move to a cashless environment and saves the school time and money on administration and management, while also improving school security.
